Ekstrahjelpen was founded because we see a clear need for safe and practical support in everyday life.

We have personal experience of how demanding it can be when someone you care about needs more help in their daily life. Many older people and others in need of assistance live at home or in supported housing, but require more practical support than public services usually provide.

Often, it is not about medical care, but about small tasks that still make a big difference. This may include grocery shopping, collecting mail, taking out rubbish, simple errands or small tasks around the home.

Why we started Ekstrahjelpen

We want to make it easier for people to remain in their own homes for longer, maintain greater independence and receive help with tasks that might otherwise become difficult, stressful or repeatedly postponed.

At the same time, we want to support family members and other next of kin. Many already do a great deal, and it can be difficult to manage everything in a busy everyday life. Ekstrahjelpen is here to provide a reliable helping hand when needed.
